Welcome to the Image Site of Antonis Karydis, ARPS
Icons that appear herein are mostly Colour Infrared. Yet, some icons from the ordinary world managed to creep in, reminders perhaps, of where we come from. I hope they don't disturb your journey in what lies beyond the red.
What is there that separates the "seen" from the "unseen"?
Could it be that there is another world beyond the one that our visual senses allow us to comprehend? And if there is one, what could be the effect of this visual censorship?
What would this world look like? What would its effect be to our etherwise-trained modes of visual comprehension? How would its colours map our feelings?
Will happiness, joy, sadness, anger and desolation look the same?
And what would Love look like? Loneliness, can we predict the hues? What colours will register our dreams?
Truth is, there are such worlds, more than one. Some are safeguarded by colours: There is a Red fence from the one side and a Violet fence from the other to keep these worlds away from us.
I denounced the visual suppression. More than 15 years ago, I jumped over the Red fence for the first time, and gazed beyond. I liked what I saw, so I return there often since then. And here, I report what I have seen and what I see as time passes: Icons beyond the red.
